Dr. Raynie Wood
Executive Director
Dr. Raynie Wood brings a bold and future-focused vision to ABIE. Appointed in 2024 as Executive Director, she previously served as Dean of the School for Advanced Digital Technology at SAIT, where she led transformative projects bridging education and industry. With a PhD in Educational and HR Studies and an MEd from the University of Calgary, Dr. Wood has also worked internationally in corporate training, change management, and institutional strategy.
A graduate of the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program, she is known for her strategic mindset, calm leadership, and ability to drive innovation in complex environments. At ABIE, she leads provincial efforts to deepen Alberta’s global education footprint and advance talent pipelines across borders.

Eduardo Jimenez Trinidad
Director, Strategy and Partnerships
Eduardo Jimenez is an experienced professional with a strong background in facilitating strategic international partnerships and managing global initiatives. Recently appointed as the new ABIE Director, he has extensive experience working in colleges, polytechnics, and universities. Eduardo has successfully managed research and education partnerships, led large-scale international education and capacity development projects, and delivered programs that foster international collaboration in alignment with institutional strategic goals. He holds a Master’s in Change Management, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and certifications in project management.

Flossy Lobo
Executive Coordinator
With over eight years of experience in executive support, immigration services, and cross-cultural logistics, Flossy is the key part that keeps ABIE’s operations running smoothly. Her global journey began in Kuwait before relocating to Canada in 2023. She holds a BSc in Computer Science and is known for her adaptability, integrity, and eye for detail.
Flossy supports the Executive Director and senior leadership with scheduling, planning, and operations, ensuring seamless collaboration across a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Richard Walton
Business Operations Lead
Richard is an experienced operations professional with a passion for systems, structure, and service excellence. Holding a BA in Interdisciplinary Art, he brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to ABIE’s operations.
His background includes roles in international engagement offices and academic administration, where he supported mobility programs, compliance, and institutional reporting. At ABIE, Richard manages finance, systems, and operational protocols that support both internal continuity and external transparency.

Shannon Black
Communications Specialist
Shannon has always had a passion for storytelling and connection. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Calgary, she has spent more than a decade crafting impactful narratives in the post-secondary and non-profit sectors with a strong focus on access, community and belonging.
As ABIE’s Communications Specialist, Shannon is excited to support Alberta’s PSIs, strengthen partnerships, and help share ABIE’s story in new and engaging ways.
